What is a Responsive Website?
A
responsive website is a website that
automatically changes to fit the device it’s being viewed on. The webpage layout, font size and navigation adapt to a
pixel-perfect size and view. Due to the popularity of mobile devices such as the
iPhone,
iPad and
Smartphones with various screen sizes; responsive websites are very necessary.
As a
responsive web designer I must take care to adjust the coding on your website to make sure all the images and sizes work well on all mobile devices. Having a
responsive website is an added value for your company garnering the
maximum exposure of visitors.
One website can accommodate desktop computer monitors, tablets, and mobile phones. Why should I have a Responsive Website?
Many mobile users get frustrated when visiting a website that is not optimized for their device this factor can give you
the one up on your competitors. As a business owner customer service is key to your success. Why not, transfer an excellent customer experience to your potential customers on your website. A good example I was in Anna Maria Island, FL looking for a place to eat. I attempted to locate a nearby
restaurant’s website the menu and website was unreadable on my smartphone along with the menu. So, I went back to the Google search results and quickly found a place that had a responsive website and dinner was served. This example is exactly what you don’t want to happen to you, lose a potential customer. Go with a
responsive website design.
However there may be cases where a responsive website design might not be feasible. In this case I can create a separate
mobile website for your mobile visitors with a
great user experience. Some website design may be too complex for responsive design.
I hope I clearly explained
